The Registered Nurse (RN) at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission plays a crucial role in coordinating the efforts of a multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive care to patients. This position involves delivering direct patient care while collaborating with patients, families, peers, physicians, and other healthcare team members. The RN is responsible for utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to maintain and improve patient outcomes. In this part-time position, the RN will work night shifts at the Shawnee Mission location, where they will be part of a community that values the whole person and aims to uplift others in body, mind, and spirit. The RN will be involved in various activities such as bedside shift reports, safety huddles, multidisciplinary patient rounds, and hourly rounding to ensure that all patient needs are anticipated and met effectively. The RN will also be responsible for implementing care plans based on identified physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs, prioritizing nursing interventions according to patient needs and available resources. This role is integral to providing whole-person care and ensuring patient safety through adherence to established policies and procedures.
