About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Neuro ICU at INTEGRIS Health involves providing exceptional care to patients during night shifts. The role requires the management and delivery of patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care interventions. The RN will also supervise and coordinate care provided by other personnel and may be required to float to other units or participate in on-call status. This position is critical in ensuring patient safety and adherence to healthcare standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Conduct assessments and re-assessments of patients.
  • Develop and implement plans of care for patients.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care interventions.
  • Supervise and coordinate care provided by licensed and non-licensed personnel.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to non-licensed personnel and students as appropriate.
  • Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.
  • Participate in on-call status as required.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire, or completion within 30 days of hire.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Department specific competencies to be completed during orientation.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current automobile liability insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) preferred.
  • Current ACLS certification required for specific departments.
  • PALS certification must be completed within 12 months of hire for Emergency Department.
