About the position

DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse for nocturnal shifts who is passionate about providing compassionate care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. This role involves delivering specialized nephrology care in a hospital setting, working as part of a small interdisciplinary team, and requires flexibility in scheduling to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients dealing with multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans.
• Oversee a group of patients with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
• Conduct patient observations, measure vital statistics, and set up dialysis machines.
• Provide specialty nephrology care in various settings including ICU, CCU, and ED.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing patient needs.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred.
• Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) is helpful but not required.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) is a plus.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment color blind test.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg settings.
• Certification as a Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
