About the position

The Registered Nurse in Occupational Health at Tufts Medical Center plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for employees. This position involves providing professional nursing care, managing health screenings, and addressing workplace injuries and communicable diseases. The nurse will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with health regulations and participate in quality and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care needs of employees and volunteers.
  • Manage health and immunization screenings for new employees and volunteers.
  • Address work-related injuries and manage workplace violence incidents.
  • Administer flu and COVID immunization programs and participate in hospital-wide clinics.
  • Report mandatory health information to local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Participate in quality, risk, and safety initiatives in collaboration with other departments.

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Specialty Nursing certifications.
