About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Ortho Medical Trauma unit is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role emphasizes the importance of compassionate communication and collaboration with healthcare team members to ensure the best outcomes for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and address patients' psychological and physical needs.
  • Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind.
  • Communicate compassionately and effectively with patients and families.
  • Assist in developing individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines.
  • Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs.
  • Participate in clinical team conferences.
  • Follow hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • ASN from an accredited program; BSN within 4 years.
  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting, preferred.
