About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Eagle's Trace by Erickson Senior Living plays a crucial role in promoting, restoring, and maintaining the health and well-being of residents. This position involves collaborating with healthcare providers, interdisciplinary teams, and care associates to deliver physical and psychosocial support to residents and their families. The RN is responsible for developing relationships with residents, performing clinical duties, and ensuring comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach.
  • Perform all clinical duties in accordance with the state nurse practice act and nursing standards of practice.
  • Promote resident's independence by establishing care goals and teaching self-care skills.
  • Monitor resident clinical and care conditions to identify changes in status and act accordingly.
  • Work alongside care associates to perform routine nursing care as needed.
  • Maintain infection prevention practices, administer medications, and perform treatments per orders.
  • Develop and coordinate a comprehensive holistic plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Support resident's preferences, routines, and choices in their electronic medical record.
  • Ensure documentation is current, accurate, and timely.
  • Participate in care conferences for designated residents as requested by the Clinical Manager.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 6 months experience as an RN.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and web applications.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Experience in caring for seniors or seniors with cognitive impairment preferred.
