About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Healogics involves providing essential patient care in a Wound Care Center, focusing on intake and discharge processes, and potentially serving as a Case Manager for assigned patients. The role is critical in delivering quality wound care services to a growing patient population, particularly in light of increasing chronic wound cases due to factors like aging, obesity, and diabetes. The RN will work under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handles patient intake and discharge processes as assigned.
• Assists in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
• May serve as Case Manager to a group of patients, performing initial nursing assessments and documenting care plans.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and provides education to patients or caregivers.
• Performs hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties as assigned after completing required training.
• Collaborates with other healthcare providers regarding clinic and patient needs.
• May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred
• Wound care experience preferred
• Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
