About the position
As a 1099 Independent Contract Registered Nurse (RN) with illumifin, you will have the opportunity to work on a per diem basis, allowing you to set your own schedule while making a significant impact on the lives of clients in their home environments. You will be part of LifePlans, LLC, a company that is a leading administrator of long-term care insurance services, and you will join a national network of nurses dedicated to providing high-quality assessments for clients seeking eligibility or benefits. In this position, you will conduct face-to-face assessments that typically last between 45 minutes to 2 hours. These assessments will include health interviews, brief cognitive screenings, and discussions regarding Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). You will not be required to perform blood draws or specimen collections, which allows you to focus on the assessment process itself. Your role will involve communicating promptly with illumifin regarding file statuses and appointment times, obtaining thorough cognitive and health assessment information, and ensuring compliance with all assessment instructions. You will also be responsible for returning completed assessments within 24 hours of the appointment, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of client information. With the use of E-Assessments training, you will have the flexibility to complete assessments electronically using your mobile devices, making the process efficient and convenient. Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face assessments for clients in their home environment.
- Complete health interviews and brief cognitive screenings as part of the assessment process.
- Check height, weight, and blood pressure for underwriting assessments only.
- Discuss IADLs and view ADL demonstrations during assessments.
- Communicate promptly with illumifin regarding file status and appointment times.
- Obtain thorough cognitive and health assessment information as required.
- Comply with all assessment instructions and accurately complete assessment paperwork.
- Return completed assessments within 24 hours after the appointment.
- Respond promptly to any follow-up and clarification questions regarding submitted assessments.
- Utilize E-Assessments training to complete assessments electronically.
Requirements
- Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in your state of residence.
- A minimum of two years' experience working with an adult population.
- Assessment skills are a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with the geriatric population.
- Work experience in Home Health, Hospice, Nursing Homes, or Assisted Living Facilities.
