About the position

Brookdale Rosehill is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. As a part of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with physician orders, recognized standards of practice, and established company policies and procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care in a supportive and nurturing environment. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare personnel to implement and coordinate care, ensuring that resident rights are maintained at all times. In this position, you will utilize the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to apply your nursing knowledge effectively. Documentation is a key aspect of this role, as you will be responsible for recording all pertinent information regarding nursing care, care plans, and observations of residents' overall conditions and behaviors. You will also maintain a working knowledge of company policies and procedures, adhering to established systems and processes. As a Registered Nurse at Brookdale Rosehill, you will provide functional direction and assistance to Charge Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), ensuring that new staff orientation is completed as assigned. You will direct resident care by making timely rounds, ensuring continuity of care, and properly utilizing community supplies and equipment. Your responsibilities will also include administering prescribed medications and treatments, including IV therapy, and operating various medical equipment as necessary. You will actively participate in the community's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Program, monitoring and assessing clinical systems for concerns and trends, and reporting findings to Nursing Administration. Additionally, you will be involved in screening potential admissions and placements of prospective residents to ensure competent nursing services are provided. Continuous learning is encouraged, and you will attend training to stay abreast of current and emerging nursing and healthcare trends. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a working knowledge of company policies and procedures and adhere to them.

  • Complete monthly/quarterly assessments and documentation as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in screening potential admissions and placements of prospective residents.
  • Actively participate in the community's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Program.
  • Stay informed about community emergency procedures, including fire and disaster drills.

Requirements

  • Long term care nursing home experience.
  • Valid RN License.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Experience in mid-level care plans and patient observation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in geriatrics nursing.
  • Teaching experience in a healthcare setting.
