About the position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Operations at Amedisys, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our homecare services. This full-time position is designed for a highly skilled and compassionate registered nurse who is looking to make a significant impact in the lives of patients and their families. You will be responsible for the overall organization and financial management of the care center, ensuring that quality care is delivered to all patients. In this role, you will handle employment decisions for direct report staff, including hiring, firing, and promotions. You will maintain the care center's image within the community and collaborate with state and national organizations. Your input will be crucial in developing marketing strategies to meet growth goals. You will also ensure that every team member receives adequate orientation and training, promoting continuous education and staff development. Your responsibilities will include setting positive and attainable expectations for the care center, implementing performance improvement programs, and addressing any negative trends in patient care. You will be the key figure in ensuring that the delivery of care meets the highest standards, providing supervision and support to clinical managers. Responsibilities

• Handles employment decisions for direct report staff, including decisions to hire, fire, advance, promote or change status.
• Responsible for overall organization and financial management of the care center.
• Provides supervision to the clinical manager(s) who ensure the delivery of quality care to patients.
• Maintains the image of the care center in the community, as well as state and national organizations.
• Provides input, guidance and feedback related to marketing activities and care center marketing plan to ensure that goals for growth are met.
• Ensures adequate orientation of every team member assigned to their care center.
• Assigns and directs staff with appropriate skills to perform duties.
• Provides leadership planning for staff education programs, administrative/staff meetings, in services.
• Encourages continuous education and staff development for all team members.
• Sets positive, attainable expectations, objectives and goals for the care center.
• Ensures implementation of a performance improvement program to drive quality care, positive patient outcomes, and address negative trends.
• Responsible for the delivery of care for all patients served by the care centers by providing supervision and support to the clinical manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates degree in business or clinical-related field.
• Two years of home care experience and at least one year of supervisory experience; or two years of experience in leadership/management in healthcare, home health or hospice.
• Current license to practice as an RN or other healthcare professional, specific to the state you're assigned to work.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in business or clinical related-field with a current license.
• Home health experience.
