About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Brookdale Rosehill is a full-time role focused on providing exceptional care to residents in a long-term care environment. The RN will collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans, ensure resident rights, and maintain high standards of nursing practice. This role emphasizes professional development, mentorship, and creating meaningful connections with residents, making it more than just a job but a passion for serving others.

Responsibilities

• Implements and coordinates the delivery of care in collaboration with physician and resource health care personnel.
• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in applying nursing knowledge.
• Documents all pertinent information regarding nursing care, care plans, observation of the residents' overall condition and behavior, Medicare charting, admission, discharge, and patient teaching.
• Maintains a working knowledge of company policies and procedures and Clinical Systems.
• Provides functional direction and assistance to Charge Nurses and CNAs, completing new staff orientation as assigned.
• Directs resident care, making rounds on a timely basis to ensure continuity of care and proper utilization of community supplies and equipment.
• Completes monthly/quarterly assessments and documentation as assigned and attends care plan meetings.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, members of the health care team, and other disciplines.
• Participates in screening potential admission and placement of prospective residents to ensure competent nursing services.
• Actively participates in the community's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Program.

Requirements

• Long term care nursing home experience
• RN License
• BLS Certification
• Experience in care plans and patient observation
• Ability to teach and mentor others

Nice-to-haves
