About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Harborview Medical Center's Cardiology/Endocrine Clinic is a part-time role focused on providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac and endocrine issues. Requirements

• Active, valid Washington State or Multi-State RN license required by start date.
• One year of experience as an RN, preferably in outpatient nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients and families.
• Make independent judgments and decisions regarding patient care.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Conduct pre-assessment evaluations and intake assessments for patients.
• Respond to patient inquiries and triage treatment needs via EPIC and telephone.
• Perform point of care procedures in Diabetes-Endocrine and Cardiology clinics.
• Administer IV medications and manage peripheral catheter care.
• Demonstrate proper sterile technique for minor surgery procedures.
• Provide wound care and administer injections as needed.
• Plan for patient discharge and collaborate with multidisciplinary services.
