About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in a critical care environment. This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with various medical conditions, ensuring optimal outcomes through compassionate and evidence-based practices. The position requires a commitment to professional nursing standards and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
  • Formulate a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and input from patients, families, and the health team.
  • Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the healthcare team activities.
  • Evaluate the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed.
  • Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record accurately and timely.
  • Provide care based on the best evidence available and participate in research activities within clinical practice.
  • Contribute to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes and participate in professional organizations.
  • Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts regarding patient health care.

Requirements

  • Current, valid RN license in the state of practice or compact RN licensure.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired, with a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Professional certification preferred.
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
