About the position

CorrectHealth currently has an exciting Full Time Day Shift opportunity to join our growing team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Jonesboro, GA! CorrectHealth is a multi-disciplinary medical organization that provides high quality, cost-effective, comprehensive healthcare inside the walls of correctional facilities. The foundation of our company was established by a group of talented ER professionals. Brick by brick, we have been building our company from the ground up. In doing so, we have developed the right way - the "Correct Way" as we like to call it - of providing correctional healthcare. Currently, CorrectHealth provides high quality, cost-effective, comprehensive healthcare services inside the walls of more than 35 correctional facilities throughout Georgia, Louisiana, the Southeast, and beyond. The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves directing and guiding patient teaching, clinical care, and ancillary personnel while maintaining standards and ethics of professional nursing in accordance with applicable State Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies. The RN will provide strong analytical and decision-making skills and must possess positive communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Direct and guide patient teaching and clinical care.
  • Supervise ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable State Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies' standards and ethics.
  • Utilize strong analytical and decision-making skills in patient care situations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a national or state approved school of nursing program.
  • Hold and maintain a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment.
  • American Heart Association BLS certified.
  • Corrections experience is a plus.
