About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager for Endocrinology at Mass General Brigham is responsible for overseeing diabetes management and providing comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders. This full-time position involves both onsite and remote work, focusing on patient education, health assessments, and collaboration with endocrinologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments and diabetes education according to established American Diabetes Association curriculum.
• Troubleshoot concerns about blood sugar, diabetes medications, and technology such as continuous glucose monitors and pumps.
• Triage phone calls from patients with endocrine diagnoses.
• Assist patients in monitoring blood glucose readings and patterns within glycemic goals specified by the provider.
• Perform a variety of patient care procedures within the RN scope of practice, including injections, blood draws, catheterizations, and EKGs.
• Assist in lab specimen preparation and follow up on results as needed.
• Coordinate outreach for quality measures and identify patients that have not met quality measures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Licensed to practice as an RN or NP in the state of Massachusetts.
• Minimum of one year of insulin and glucometer education.
• One year of pump and sensor (CGM) education.
• Endocrinology or ambulatory experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves
