About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Maternity Department at Inspira Health is responsible for providing comprehensive care to childbearing women and their newborns, as well as selected gynecologic and clean surgical patients. The RN must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to cater to the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families, ensuring that care is delivered in a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires the RN to assess the needs of patients, develop a tailored plan of care, implement that plan, and supervise others in its execution while continuously evaluating its effectiveness. The RN will work collaboratively within a dedicated team to uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence and evidence-based care, contributing to the overall mission of Inspira Health to enhance patient outcomes. Inspira Health is a charitable nonprofit healthcare organization that has been serving communities across southern New Jersey since 1899. The network includes three hospitals, a comprehensive cancer center, and various specialized services such as sleep medicine, cardiac testing, and rehabilitation. Responsibilities

  • Provide care to childbearing women and their newborns, as well as selected gynecologic and clean surgical patients.
  • Assess the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement a plan of care that addresses the identified needs.
  • Supervise the implementation of care plans by other staff members.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make necessary adjustments.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
  • Enrolled in a CCNE or NLNAC accredited BSN or MSN program within six months of hire or rehire, with a graduation date on or before the employee's third employment anniversary.
  • Registered nurse license required.
  • BLS certification within months of hire required.
  • NRP certification within 3 months of hire required.

Nice-to-haves

  • BSN or MSN graduates preferred.
  • Experience in maternity nursing or related fields.
