About the position

UC Health is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Float Pool at West Chester Hospital. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, supporting various Med Surg Units and the Level III Trauma Center. The position offers a $10 premium pay in recognition of the expertise required for this vital role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care based on assessed needs and established standards.
• Prepare, implement, evaluate, revise, and coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care for assigned patients.
• Communicate the formulated plan of care to all associates involved in the patient's care.
• Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment and involve them in care processes.
• Identify and respond to different patient needs, including behavioral health and cultural considerations.
• Document nursing processes accurately and concisely in accordance with hospital policies.
• Act as a resource and mentor for new personnel and supplemental staff.
• Assume responsibility for personal professional development and contribute to the development of peers.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (minimum required); Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current Ohio RN License.
• 1 year of Med Surg experience preferred.
