The Registered Nurse RN MICU PRN position at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. This role is essential for ensuring that critically ill patients receive the necessary support and treatment, while also collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team. The position is PRN (as needed), allowing for flexible scheduling to meet the demands of the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients experiencing critical illnesses.
• Collaborate with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards.
• Delegate nursing tasks based on patient needs and the skills of the nursing staff.
• Demonstrate critical care skills for managing acutely ill patients, including age-specific needs for geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• 1 year of RN ICU experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Current ACLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
