About the position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the OB High Risk Unit at AdventHealth Orlando, you will be part of a dedicated team providing exceptional antepartum care in a facility that handles approximately 4000 deliveries annually. The unit features 36 beds in a spa-like environment, and is unique in the Central Florida Division as the only antepartum unit. You will be involved in treating conditions such as Postpartum Depression with innovative treatments like IV infusion of Brexanalone, and will support the Labor and Delivery unit with cervical ripening inductions. Your role will include collaborating with a variety of resources, including 24/7 OB and Pediatric Hospitalist providers, Lactation Consultants, and Neonatologists, ensuring comprehensive care for patients and their families. In this full-time position, you will work 36 hours per week on a night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with a weekend rotation. You will be responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process to achieve departmental goals. Responsibilities

  • Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age-specific groups.
  • Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) to achieve nursing department goals.
  • Adhere to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all individuals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess and interpret diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition.
  • Follow strict infection prevention precautions and adhere to medication safety policies.
  • Promote an exceptional patient experience through effective communication with patients, families, and visitors.
  • Document all patient information accurately and in real-time in the electronic medical record.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a school of nursing.
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification.
  • EKG competency testing.

Nice-to-haves
