About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Paragon Healthcare is responsible for administering therapies as prescribed, ensuring patient care aligns with facility protocols and standards. This role involves performing physical assessments, documenting patient data, and educating patients and families about therapy plans. The RN will work within a team to monitor patient responses to treatment and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber order and facility protocols.
• Completes admission process as directed by Center Director.
• Performs physical assessments on patients as warranted.
• Documents all pertinent data in the patient's medical record.
• Reports significant changes or observations to the Center Director.
• Evaluates the patient's response to therapy and documents findings.
• Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plans.
• Ensures medication orders are complete, appropriate, and accurate.

Requirements

• Requires an ASN or ADN and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Requires a current unrestricted RN license in applicable state.
• Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience with IV preferred.
• Experience with Port, PICC & Peripheral Line preferred.
• Infusion RN experience is a plus.
• BSN preferred.
• Multi-state license is a plus.
