About The Position

The Pre-Surgical Testing (PST) Registered Nurse (RN) position at Baxter Regional Medical Center involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients preparing for various surgical procedures. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN required, BSN or MSN preferred).
• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.
• Minimum of one (1) year acute care nursing experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required or within three (3) months from date of hire.
• PALS certification required or within six (6) months from date of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with high acuity patients.
• Familiarity with ASPAN and hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the Pre-Operative unit.
• Participate as a member of the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care from admission to discharge.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote evidence-based care.
• Participate in quality activities and best practice initiatives.
• Adhere to all standards of nursing care and promote teamwork among coworkers.
