About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Primary Care at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, assisting with patient education, and supporting healthcare providers during examinations and treatments. This role emphasizes whole-person care, ensuring that patients receive not only medical attention but also emotional and spiritual support. The RN will also manage patient communications, triage calls, and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Clinical Supervisor.
• Assist providers during patient examinations and treatments.
• Administer procedures and treatments as directed by the Provider.
• Handle triage of patient calls, including prescription refills according to protocols.
• Document all patient encounters appropriately in the EHR.
• Coordinate patient care with referrals and follow-ups as necessary.
• Adhere to policies and procedures for patient medications and testing.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing
• 2 years of clinically relevant experience
• Kansas Registered Nurse License
