About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery Circulator position is a short-term staff assignment focused on providing individualized peri-operative care in a surgical services department. The role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals, assessment and planning of patient care, and directing surgical staff in the care of patients across all age groups. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and sterile environment during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other health professionals to assess and analyze patient data.
  • Establish goals and plan care strategies for surgical patients.
  • Implement care and delegate tasks safely to ensure patient safety.
  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients of all ages.
  • Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care as necessary.
  • Direct surgery department staff in the care of surgical patients.
  • Plan and prepare individualized peri-operative care utilizing the nursing process.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN or MSN preferred.
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Previous experience in healthcare preferred.

Benefits

  • $65.00 an hour flat rate for 13 weeks.
