About the position

The Registered Nurse (R.N.) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with the SC Nurse Practice Act and organizational protocols. This role emphasizes clinical competency through evidence-based practices across the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. The R.N. serves as a resource for support associates and collaborates with leadership to foster the culture, mission, vision, and values of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, while also engaging with the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in compliance with the SC Nurse Practice Act and organizational protocols.
• Demonstrate clinical competency utilizing evidence-based practices in all areas of the nursing process.
• Collaborate with leadership in developing and implementing the healthcare system's culture, mission, vision, and values.
• Effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and hospital associates.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise plans of care based on patient needs.
• Provide a safe patient care environment and coordinate patient teaching activities.
• Initiate and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.
• Document all aspects of patient care following established procedures.
• Serve on unit-based committees and prioritize nursing interventions for assigned patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current R.N. licensure in the state of South Carolina or compact state.
• Novice to expert nursing experience.
