About the position

As a Hospice Nurse, you will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients during their end-of-life journey. This role involves conducting assessments, administering medications, performing minor procedures, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care for patients and support for their families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments to determine the patient's needs and develop appropriate care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Perform minor procedures such as suturing wounds and providing wound care
• Provide specialized care for pediatric patients in hospice settings
• Assist with airway management and ensure patient comfort
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement discharge planning strategies
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding end-of-life care options

Requirements

• Valid RN License
• Experience in hospice care
• Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques
• Experience in medication administration and management
• Ability to perform minor procedures such as suturing wounds
• Strong airway management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient/family interactions
• Understanding of discharge planning processes and strategies
