About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Valley Hope of Boonville is a full-time role focused on providing compassionate medical care to patients undergoing addiction treatment. The RN will work primarily day shifts with occasional night shifts, ensuring a supportive environment for patients from admission to discharge. This role is integral to the success of patients in recovery, offering a unique treatment approach in a relaxed setting compared to standard hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Execute prescribed treatments and medication interventions for each patient.
• Conduct detox admissions and provide patient care during the detoxification process.
• Obtain physical assessment data and health history from patients.
• Administer detox treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Follow established policies and procedures for medical emergencies.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques.
• Record treatment activities and patient observations accurately and timely.
• Communicate with nursing supervisors and clinical staff regarding patients' treatment and status.
• Oversee non-licensed nursing staff as instructed by the Nursing Director.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Nurse to practice in the state of employment.
• Associate's degree in nursing required for RN applicants.
• Work experience in substance abuse treatment industry is preferred.
• CPR and/or ACLS certifications are required.
