About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) at MediLodge of Montrose is responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing comprehensive nursing care to residents. This role involves supervising clinical staff, implementing care plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. The RN will work primarily on the night shift and is expected to contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment, enhancing the overall well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and provide total nursing care for residents.
  • Supervise and guide clinical staff members, including LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
  • Initiate and lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans.
  • Assess and document residents' conditions and nursing needs.
  • Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
  • Assign nursing care to team members based on residents' needs and staff qualifications.
  • Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments as required.
  • Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
  • Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of nursing practice.
  • Ensure economical use of supplies and maintain equipment safety and cleanliness.
  • Report and record observations and reactions regarding residents.
  • Coordinate nursing care for residents scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
  • Interview applicants and recommend hires for nursing positions.
  • Participate in counseling, disciplinary actions, and termination of staff as permitted.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Valid RN license in the state of employment.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • One year of nursing experience preferred.
