About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to residents aged 5-17 suffering from acute psychiatric illnesses. Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the RN is responsible for conducting physical assessments, implementing treatment plans, evaluating patient responses, and ensuring a safe environment for all residents. This position emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective and compassionate care, adhering to the highest standards of psychiatric mental health practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assessments of residents.
• Implement residents' treatment plans.
• Evaluate responses to treatment and document findings.
• Perform physical restraint assessments as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide health care education for residents and their families.
• Supervise the daily duties of Mental Health Techs and LPN staff.
• Ensure a safe environment for all residents.

Requirements

• Current Oklahoma RN license required.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in psychiatric mental health nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
