The Registered Nurse (RN) position at The Rehabilitation Center of Santa Monica is a full-time role focused on providing high-quality nursing care in a skilled nursing facility. The RN will be responsible for admitting, transferring, and discharging residents, developing care plans, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene protocols. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, professional development, and collaboration among healthcare professionals to support patient recovery and ongoing medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Admitting, transferring, and discharging residents
• Assessment and development of resident care plans
• Ensuring that all resident care rooms and treatment areas are clean and safe
• Maintaining medicine supply room
• Monitoring certified nursing staff to ensure compliance with resident care plans
• Checking that staff wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies when providing resident care
• Ensuring that nursing staff follow established handwashing and hygiene procedures
• Passing out medications when needed
• Making rounds with physicians as requested
• Abiding by all facility policies and procedures
• Following Infection Control policies
• Completing accident/incident reports as required
• Complying with annual facility in-service training program
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Nursing Degree from an accredited school or college
• Valid RN license in good standing
• Valid BLS card
• Minimum of 4 years Registered Nurse experience in a skilled nursing facility
• Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
• Ability to use computer or tablet to enter data
