We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse Seasonal PRN MedSurg Tele to join our healthcare family. This position is designed for nurses who are passionate about patient care and are looking for a flexible work schedule. As a Seasonal PRN Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The Seasonal PRN program runs from August 25, 2024, to April 5, 2025, and requires a commitment to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during this time. You will be expected to work four weekend shifts every four-week schedule period and two holiday shifts during the 32-week period. This role may require you to float to another facility within close geography if there is an emergent staffing need. As a Seasonal Staff member, you will be classified as PRN status, meaning there are no guaranteed hours, and you will not be eligible for benefits, except for the 401(k) and retirement contributions as per the PRN policy. In this role, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with a focus on the cardiovascular service line. You will maintain a safe and therapeutic Telemetry environment, implement and direct care using the nursing process, and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing process. Additionally, you will provide emotional support to patients and their families, delegate tasks to appropriate caregivers, and participate in department-specific initiatives and process improvements. Your leadership skills will be essential as you supervise new employees and maintain high-quality care for patients across various age groups.
