About the position

The RN Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient and effective nursing care, ensuring positive clinical outcomes, and maintaining high levels of patient, family, and employee satisfaction. This position is pivotal in leading, guiding, and directing the clinical operations of the nursing units during assigned shifts. The RN Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, practice standards, and regulations, which are essential for maintaining the quality of care provided to patients. In this role, the RN Supervisor will facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring nursing staff to enhance their skills and performance. Effective coordination and communication with other departments are vital to ensure seamless operations and patient care. The RN Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff levels, ensuring safe, 24/7 nursing care while emphasizing the importance of limiting the use of overtime and agency personnel. Additionally, the RN Supervisor will participate in staff recruitment, new hire orientation, and make recommendations for employee promotions and transfers. Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and direct the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shift.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure effective operations.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
