About the position

The Registered Nurse - Telemetry position involves providing specialized nursing care in a telemetry unit, focusing on patients requiring continuous monitoring. This travel role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency in Epic software, along with necessary certifications. The position is based at Winchester Medical Center, where the nurse will work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays on an alternating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Requirements

• Must have 2+ years of experience in telemetry or medical-surgical nursing.
• Proficient in Epic electronic health record system.
• Valid VA or compact RN license.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (must be AHA), and NIHSS.
