About the position

The Registered Nurse - Tier One Float at Mary Immaculate Hospital is responsible for providing flexible patient care across various departments and sites within the organization. This role requires the nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while adhering to established standards. The position is designed for nurses who can adapt to different clinical environments and specialties, ensuring high-quality care for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established standards.
• Float to various departments and sites as needed based on competency and staffing requirements.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities.
• Act as a patient safety advocate and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts.
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans for patients, including interventions and evaluations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles to provide age-appropriate care.

Requirements

• Current nursing license in the designated state of employment (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required).
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care (required).
• Experience in two different acute specialties (required).
• Proficiency in using EPIC Electronic Health Record (preferred).

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience with geriatric nursing.
