About the position

RTG Medical-Nursing is currently seeking a travel nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery for an exciting opportunity. This position is designed for Registered Nurses (RNs) who are looking to take their skills on the road and work in various healthcare settings. As a travel nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery, ensuring both the mother and baby receive the best possible support during this critical time. You will work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to monitor the health of the mother and baby, assist in the delivery process, and provide postnatal care. This travel nursing role offers a competitive pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend that will be confirmed upon acceptance. The position requires working 12-hour day shifts, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule while still providing the opportunity to explore new locations. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
  • Monitor the health of mothers and newborns before, during, and after delivery.
  • Assist in the delivery process and provide immediate postnatal care.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and their families about the labor and delivery process.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to different healthcare environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or similar specialty certification.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
