About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at DaVita involves providing specialized dialysis care to patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNF). This role is part of a new service line, DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services, aimed at improving patient care and reducing costs associated with dialysis treatment. The RN will work autonomously, ensuring that patients receive optimal care while collaborating with SNF staff. The position requires a commitment to patient education and the ability to manage complex care needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track.
• Troubleshoot and make sound decisions related to patients' dialysis treatment.
• Partner alongside SNF staff to coordinate care for patients.
• Conduct impactful education to patients and their families in the SNF setting.
• Independently demonstrate best practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care.
• Supervise Dialysis Technicians to meet capacity and efficiency goals of the program.
• Meet and/or exceed clinical outcomes while multitasking to meet the needs of patients and SNF partners.
• Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting, applying core nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and implement care plans.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Dialysis experience required
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with cross-functional resources
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in chronic hemodialysis or acute dialysis
• Ability to thrive in a start-up type environment
• Previous experience in patient education
