About the position

DaVita is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our outpatient dialysis center located at 1595 Stockbridge Road, Jonesboro, Georgia. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients suffering from end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. As a Registered Nurse at DaVita, you will be responsible for building meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting. You will work as part of a supportive team that relies on each other in a positive environment. Your role will involve overseeing a group of patients, conducting patient observations, measuring vital statistics, and setting up dialysis machines. You will be expected to leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge to deliver care to patients who often have multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans. No prior dialysis experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training that may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic. Flexibility is key, as you will need to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate care to patients in an outpatient dialysis setting.
  • Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
  • Oversee a group of patients with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
  • Conduct patient observations and measure vital statistics.
  • Set up dialysis machines and ensure proper functioning during treatments.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide quality care and support to patients.
  • Participate in training and float to various clinics as needed.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred.
  • Three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
  • Valid RN License required.
  • Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) is helpful but not required.
  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) is a plus.
  • Compliance with Federal and State vaccination requirements against Covid-19.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in surgery is preferred but not mandatory.
