About the position

The Registrar Coordinator for Registration, Graduation and Institutional Operations plays a vital role in providing administrative and student support to various schools within the university. This position is responsible for maintaining student records, ensuring compliance with university policies, and delivering excellent service to students, faculty, and staff. The role involves managing registration activities, processing transcript requests, and conducting degree audits, all while fostering a student-centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create an effective and efficient student-centered, service-oriented atmosphere and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform registration support services, including enrolling and registering students and updating records in Banner.
  • Ensure clinical grades are reviewed and entered within 48 business hours.
  • Maintain an efficient degree audit/clearance process and quality control procedures.
  • Provide class rank information to leadership and maintain reporting on class rank.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all telephone calls for SOM students in the US.
  • Provide accurate data entry, processing, and maintenance using Banner.
  • Process and track transcript requests and ensure timely delivery within 2 business days.
  • Serve as a back-up for providing MD student checklists for APRC and/or CAPPS for SOM and SAS.
  • Generate and mail individually requested replacement diplomas.
  • Provide records to the Records Management team for scanning and filing.
  • Work with the Office of the University Registrar to resolve issues raised by students and faculty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in a student services office with an understanding of student records administration.
  • Experience interpreting policies and implementing processes to maintain compliance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student information systems, preferably Banner.
  • Understanding of FERPA and knowledge of privacy and confidentiality rules related to student information.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work with a diverse population and collaborate effectively with university departments.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $42,500 to $50,000 based on experience and qualifications.
