In addition to registration duties, the Registrar may also be required to enter laboratory orders when the Ambulatory Care Center is closed and to contact the physician's office as needed. Responsibilities

  • Obtain and validate patient information from various sources.
  • Ensure information entered into the HBOC (Clinstar) system is accurate.
  • Perform the pre-registration/registration process for all inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Obtain required forms and signatures and complete all managed care notification requirements.
  • Enter laboratory orders when the Ambulatory Care Center is closed.
  • Contact the physician's office when necessary.
  • Support the mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required for Health Centers sites (Aspen Hill, Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, Germantown).
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft products and email.
  • One year of customer service experience in an office environment.
  • Familiarity with health insurance/payors and medical terminology preferred.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to transport patients by wheelchair.

Nice-to-haves

  • Related college-level courses may be considered in lieu of work experience.
