About the position

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Benjamin Moore & Co. is responsible for ensuring compliance with global product regulations and safety standards. This entry-level position involves data gathering, evaluation of new products and raw materials, and the creation of Safety Data Sheets. The role supports the Product Stewardship team in enhancing compliance processes and requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and collate information for global product regulation and compliance issues.
  • Evaluate new products and raw materials for health and safety compliance.
  • Create regionally compliant Safety Data Sheets and label text.
  • Learn and utilize compliance software effectively.
  • Support Product Specialists in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Prioritize daily tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Read, understand, and follow Product Stewardship Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or chemical engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in a related field.
  • General awareness of domestic and international product regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of chemical processing.
