About the position

The Regulatory & Compliance HC Specialist 3 in Risk Management at UCI Health plays a crucial role in supporting the regulatory program by ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), California Department of Public Health, and other regulatory entities. This position involves coordinating accreditation surveys, developing corrective action plans, and executing educational activities to maintain survey readiness across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the functions of the UC Irvine Health regulatory program in compliance assessment and reporting.
• Coordinate TJC accreditation and disease-specific surveys, licensing activities, and other regulatory surveys.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop corrective action plans in response to compliance findings.
• Develop, coordinate, and participate in educational activities for staff and residents regarding survey readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, hospital administration, or a related field.
• Four to seven years of relevant hospital experience or a minimum of 3 years' clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
• Strong data analysis experience and familiarity with TJC, CDPH, and CMS regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience working in a Regulatory Affairs or Quality & Patient Safety healthcare setting.
• Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
