About the position

The Regulatory Data Governance Lead will play a crucial role in supporting the development and improvement of reporting processes within a financial services organization. This position involves collaboration with various data consumers and internal business partners to ensure effective regulatory reporting and data governance practices. The role requires a strong background in data analysis, business analysis, and regulatory reporting, with a focus on enhancing data quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Work with data consumers across the organization to support the development of new reporting processes and improvements to existing ones.
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Data Management to understand tools, business, and rule requirements.
  • Develop functional specifications to define data and derivational requirements for the IT development group supporting regulatory reporting efforts.
  • Lead efforts to test, train, and implement new or improved processes in collaboration with internal business partners.
  • Perform data analysis for various regulatory reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required.
  • 5-10 years of total work experience in business analysis, with a preference for data analysis experience.
  • Experience in external reporting and/or internal audit is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Preferred experience includes supporting multiple enterprise systems implementations in a Business Analyst role.
  • SQL knowledge for data analysis is preferred.
  • Financial Regulatory Reporting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting data governance management, including CDE management and data quality contracts.
  • Knowledge of data governance tools like Collibra, IDQ, ASG, Solidatus, etc.
  • Understanding of User Acceptance Testing and building of testing strategy/test plans.

Nice-to-haves

  • Axiom knowledge or implementation experience would be an added advantage.
