About the position

The Regulatory Operations Manager role at a global bank in New York involves overseeing regulatory operations, managing logistics, and engaging with regulators and internal stakeholders. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the regulatory environment while working in a hybrid setting. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on compliance and regulatory management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage logistics related to regulatory operations, including logging emails and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support interactions with regulators and internal stakeholders, coordinating events related to examinations and supervisory meetings.
  • Facilitate meetings and prepare business stakeholders for discussions with regulators.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on regulatory trends and impacts to drive proactive engagement.
  • Perform quality reviews of information submitted to U.S. prudential regulators to ensure consistency and completeness.
  • Maintain the Services regulatory calendar and enter regulatory activities in the Firm's system of record.
  • Analyze and summarize documentation responsive to regulatory requests.
  • Maintain a centralized repository for regulatory documents and findings.
  • Execute ad-hoc projects and additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in regulatory management, internal audit, control management, compliance, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Basic knowledge of the regulatory engagement process and understanding of U.S. prudential regulators.
  • Familiarity with control management and issue management.
  • Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint management.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services.
  • Regulatory/internal audit experience.
  • General understanding of banking regulations and knowledge of Services businesses.
  • Prior experience in project/program management.
