About the position

The Manager, Settlements and Analysis at Entergy Services, LLC is responsible for leading a team that provides regulatory support and manages fuel and power settlements for the five Entergy Operating Companies. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate settlement processes, overseeing energy accounting activities, and leading continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in operations. The position requires collaboration with various departments to optimize business outcomes and support regulatory filings and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and accurate settlement of natural gas, power, oil, and coal purchasing activities.
  • Manage all energy accounting activities for Entergy's Operating companies.
  • Oversee the timely payment of the weekly MISO invoice and manage settlement dispute resolution processes.
  • Partner with Front-Office personnel to improve bidding and offer strategies for fuel and power procurement.
  • Lead the team managing RFI processes for all SPO functions and provide strategic support on regulatory cases and filings.
  • Prepare testimony and provide subject matter expertise for fuel audits, litigation, and regulatory filings.
  • Lead process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in settlement processes.
  • Collaborate with various groups to analyze market results and support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Business Administration (or related degree field).
  • 7+ years in the energy industry, Settlements, Operations or a related field.
  • Interpersonal/leadership skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Proficiency in PC Windows environment and knowledge of ISOs, GAAP, FERC and regulatory accounting.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Good strategic and problem-solving skills.
