Responsibilities
- Greeting patients and visitors in a professional manner
- Administering physical therapy modalities under the direction of the doctor and physical therapist
- Teaching and monitoring patients performing rehabilitation exercises
- Instructing patients on home exercises
- Performing light to moderate manual therapy based on patient care plans
- Communicating with clinical and administrative staff regarding patients
- Charting patient progress and care
- Cleaning and maintaining the workspace
- Answering phones and scheduling patients
- Filling in for primary front desk when needed
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of anatomy and basic human anatomy
- Experience with physical therapy modalities such as heat/cold therapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction
- Ability to assist with chiropractic techniques, including patient positioning and mobilization
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a physical therapy assistant
- Experience as a chiropractic assistant
- Experience in rehabilitation or exercise therapy
- Experience as a personal trainer or in massage therapy
- Experience in receptionist or data entry roles
