About the position

The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) at Brinton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is responsible for leading a team of rehabilitation specialists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapy services. This role involves overseeing clinical practices, mentoring staff, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a supportive and ethical work environment. The DOR will also engage in administrative duties, including documentation audits and budget management, to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and organization of all departmental paperwork, including conducting documentation audits.
• Plan and coordinate schedules to achieve maximum efficiency based on clinical needs and treatment activities.
• Build, manage, and schedule PRN pool as needed.
• Establish and promote clinical programs and enhancements as indicated.
• Engage in recruiting interviews, employee development, goal setting, and performance appraisals.
• Develop professional working relationships with staff, facility team members, residents, and resident family members.
• Prepare and deliver regular or ad hoc reports; analyze, interpret, and achieve budget expectations.

Requirements

• Current Therapy License in the State of PA, in good standing.
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of rehabilitation roles for all therapy disciplines.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) or long-term care preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
