About the position

The Rehabilitation Program Manager is responsible for managing and administering all aspects of rehabilitation services within the community, while also maintaining a clinical caseload. This role involves advocating for residents, educating staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The manager promotes a collaborative environment among interdisciplinary teams and addresses community-specific needs related to therapy services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a clinical caseload.
  • Demonstrates strong clinical knowledge across various rehabilitation disciplines.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws related to therapy service delivery.
  • Assesses resident needs based on life span growth and development principles.
  • Acts as a liaison between management, home health, hospice, and community administration.
  • Integrates clinical programs and addresses community-specific marketing needs.
  • Participates in Quality Improvement Programs and patient care meetings.
  • Provides education to community staff, residents, and healthcare providers regarding therapy services.
  • Plans and coordinates rehabilitation services, including staffing and scheduling.
  • Conducts performance appraisals and oversees documentation audits for clinical staff.
  • Develops special programs for resident participation in therapy activities.
  • Supervises rehabilitation technicians, students, and volunteers as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in an allied health field, Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree.
  • Valid state professional licensure in relevant field.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of rehabilitation services.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in assisted living, independent living, or CCRC settings.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with budget management and financial expectations.
