About the position
The Neuro Rehab Coach position at Ohio Health Rehabilitation Hospital - Neuro Transitional Center is a per diem role focused on supporting individuals with brain or spinal cord injuries in their rehabilitation journey. The center, opening in October 2024, aims to provide intensive rehabilitation services to patients who cannot safely return home after inpatient care. The role involves assisting patients in regaining independence through various daily activities and supporting rehabilitation therapists and nurses in their efforts.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and cooking.
- Drive patients to community activities and medical appointments.
- Support rehabilitation therapists with patient activities.
- Perform nurse-delegated tasks after training, including taking vital signs and peg tube feedings.
- Help maintain a clean and organized living environment for patients.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current State Driver's License in good standing required.
- Certified BLS completion required.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous Neuro Transitional Rehab experience preferred.
- Experience as a Therapy or Rehab Aide preferred.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA/STNA) preferred.
