The Rehab Tech position at Preferred Therapy Solutions is a full-time role focused on assisting rehabilitation staff with patient-related activities in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Rehabilitation Staff with patient-related activities as per state licensure and Practice Acts mandates.
  • Transport patients to and from the rehabilitation department for scheduled treatments as requested and assist with transfers.
  • Prepare patients for therapy as directed by the supervising therapist.
  • Help in the modification of patient equipment such as wheelchairs and splints as necessary.
  • Report patient responses to treatment and changes in medical status to the supervising therapist immediately.
  • Assist with computer data entry and generate reports as requested.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of direct and indirect time, payroll, efficiency, and clinical reporting.
  • Adhere to confidentiality standards of HIPAA and all Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals.
  • Perform clerical duties such as answering calls, photocopying, filing, faxing/scanning/uploading documents, and supply orders.
  • Maintain the rehabilitation area and equipment in a neat, clean, and safe manner.
  • Attend in-services and facility meetings as required.
  • Work cooperatively in group situations and demonstrate flexibility, team building, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Implement a customer service philosophy to promote value and customer loyalty.
  • Report to work on time and adhere to the schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated concise oral and written communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
  • Ability to demonstrate regular attendance.
