A full-time Rehab Tech position is currently available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing facility. As a Rehab Tech with Preferred Therapy Solutions, you will assist the Rehabilitation Staff with patient-related activities in accordance with state licensure and Practice Acts mandates. Your role will include providing technical and light administrative support for the Rehabilitation Department. Specific duties involve assisting with treatment activities assigned by the treating therapist, transporting patients to and from the rehabilitation department, preparing patients for therapy, modifying patient equipment as necessary, and reporting patient responses to treatment. You will also assist with computer data entry, generate reports, and maintain accurate documentation of various activities. Adhering to confidentiality standards and infection control protocols is essential, as is maintaining a professional communication style. Additionally, you will perform clerical duties, maintain the rehabilitation area, and participate in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment. This position requires punctuality and adherence to the work schedule, along with the flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with specific treatment activities assigned by the treating therapist.
  • Transport patients to and from rehabilitation department for scheduled treatment as requested and assist with transfers.
  • Prepare patients for therapy as directed by supervising therapist.
  • Help in the modification of patient equipment (wheelchairs, splints) as necessary.
  • Report patient response to treatment and changes in medical status to supervising therapist immediately.
  • Assist with computer data entry and generate reports as requested.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of direct, indirect time, payroll, efficiency and clinical reporting.
  • Adhere to confidentiality standards of HIPAA and all Infection Control, Universal Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
  • Use a professional and clear style of verbal and written communication.
  • Perform clerical duties such as answering calls, photocopying, filing, faxing/scanning/uploading documents, and supply orders.
  • Maintain rehabilitation area and equipment in a neat, clean and safe manner.
  • Attend in-services and facility meetings as required.
  • Work cooperatively in group situations and demonstrate flexibility, team building, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Implement a customer service philosophy to promote value and customer loyalty.
  • Report to work on time and adhere to schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Hold a Certified Nurses Assistant (C.N.A.) license, or be currently enrolled in a therapy program (e.g. PTA school or COTA school).
  • Completion of Preferred Therapy Solutions Competency.
  • Hold a High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree.
  • Demonstrate concise oral and written communication skills with rehab staff, facility staff, patients, and families.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance.
