About the position
This full-time clinical position is designed to support the Rehab and Wellness team by enhancing patient care through process improvement projects, developing educational materials for patients and clinicians, and managing administrative tasks. The role aims to free up front-line providers to focus more on direct patient care. Responsibilities include creating patient/provider education, improving operational efficiency, and assisting with various administrative tasks. The position is ideal for individuals interested in rehabilitation therapy or related healthcare occupations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in process improvement projects to enhance patient care.
- Develop educational materials for patients and clinicians.
- Assist with administrative tasks to increase front-line providers' capacity for direct patient care.
- Create patient/provider education in collaboration with therapists.
- Improve operational efficiency and process improvement, including room turnover and patient assistance.
- Conduct chart audits for compliance and provide administrative assistance.
Requirements
- Current CNA, EMT, or Paramedic certification, or must take Parkview's Patient Care Foundations course at time of hire.
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field, or currently enrolled in nursing school having completed first clinical rotations.
- Current CPR certification at or above the Healthcare Provider level from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 60 days of hire.
- CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred, or equivalent healthcare experience and education.
- 2 years of previous experience in a nursing support role, or a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN) having completed their first clinical rotation.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in direct patient care through work or school programs.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer skills and applications.
Benefits
